Description :
5-Chloro-2-fluoronitrobenzene is a sulfoxide that is used in the synthesis of benzodiazepines. This chemical reacts with formamide to give an enamine, which then reacts with chlorine to produce a chloroformate. The chloroformate can then be reacted with formamide to give the desired product. 5-Chloro-2-fluoronitrobenzene has been shown to be an effective reagent for synthesizing benzodiazepine derivatives.
