Informations sur le produit
Cyclohexyl-3-(2-(4-morpholinyl)ethyl)carbodiimide (CDI) is a diagnostic agent that binds to the penicillin-binding protein and inhibits bacterial growth. CDI has been shown to be effective in patients with diabetes, as it prevents the formation of advanced glycation end products. CDI also has long-term efficacy and can be used for long periods of time. CDI binds to penicillin-binding proteins on the surface of bacteria and prevents them from forming a cell wall, which is necessary for bacterial growth. This binding also causes hydrogen bonding between CDI and the antibiotic, which increases its effectiveness. Combinations with other antibiotics have been studied using surface methodology and kinetic data, but they have not yet been approved for clinical use.
