Description

9-(Chloromethyl)anthracene is a fluorescent derivative that has been used as a fluorescence probe for hydrogen bond and UV absorption. It can be used to detect hydrogen bonds in analytical methods, and it also has chromatographic properties. 9-(Chloromethyl)anthracene is membrane permeable and inhibits the growth of bacteria.
