Cnidilin is a natural compound that has shown anticancer activity in vitro. The anticancer effects of cnidilin seem to be related to its ability to inhibit the growth of cancer cells and induce apoptosis by inhibiting DNA synthesis, protein synthesis, and cell division. Cnidilin also inhibits bone cancer cells in vivo by inducing apoptosis. This compound has been found to have anti-inflammatory properties. It was also found to be effective against muscle diseases such as muscular dystrophy, myasthenia gravis, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Cnidilin may also have antimicrobial effects, but this has not been confirmed.
