Description :1-(3-Chlorophenyl)-4-(3-chloropropyl)piperazine Hydrochloride is an antidepressant that belongs to the class of nefazodone. It is a prodrug, which is hydrolyzed to nefazodone in the liver. It has been shown to have a high affinity for serotonin receptors and as such may be useful for the treatment of depression. 1-(3-Chlorophenyl)-4-(3-chloropropyl)piperazine Hydrochloride also has anticonvulsant properties, which may be due to its inhibition of neuronal excitability by blocking sodium channels in the brain.
