• Description: 1,1-Cyclopentanediacetic anhydride is a gaseous molecule that has been shown to bind to the 5-HT1A receptor. It is a reactive molecule that can be refluxed with cyclohexane rings to form a new compound. The molecular modelling of this compound shows that it has inhibitory activity against lysine residues and lysines in the drug target. In vivo studies have shown that 1,1-Cyclopentanediacetic anhydride binds to 5-HT1A receptors and blocks the binding of serotonin, resulting in decreased anxiety levels.
