Cobalt Tetrafluoroborate Hexahydrate can be used to catalyze reactions that contain oxygen-containing groups, such as those found in ft-ir spectroscopy or iron oxides. This compound is also capable of encapsulating particles and can be used as a radiation shield. The amide group allows for the formation of stable salts with magnesium.
