- Copper Ditetrafluoroborate Hexahydrate
Copper(II) tetrafluoroborate hexahydrate (CuBF4·6H2O) is a compound that contains copper, fluorine, boron, and oxygen. It is synthesized from the elements in a constant ratio of 2:1:1:1. Copper(II) tetrafluoroborate hexahydrate has been used as a ligand in coordination chemistry and has been shown to be effective as an anion trap for chlorine. CuBF4·6H2O has also been used to study the hydrogen bonding interactions of multinuclear complexes and macrocyclic ligands.
