Description :
S-(2-Chloro-1,1,2-trifluoroethyl)glutathione is a glutathione analog that inhibits the growth of fibroblasts and axonal growth. It has been shown to be effective in models of eye disorders and kidney fibrosis. S-(2-Chloro-1,1,2-trifluoroethyl)glutathione binds to nucleic acids and blocks RNA synthesis. This drug also inhibits the enzymatic activity of glutathione reductase, which catalyzes the reduction of hydrogen fluoride to water.
