2-(1-Cyclohexen-1-Yl)-N-(4-Fluorobenzyl)Ethanamine is a coordination compound that has been shown to have antiferromagnetic properties. It has a molecular weight of 188.2 and a melting point of −84°C. The crystal structure consists of an antiperiplanar arrangement with cyclohexane and 4-fluorobenzaldehyde ligands, with the two aromatic rings in the same plane. In the solid state, the molecules are arranged in chains along the c axis, which is perpendicular to the plane of symmetry. It was shown to be basically antiferromagnetic by neutron diffraction experiments on a single crystal under high pressure at room temperature. The magnetic moment was found to be quadratic, which means that it changes sign when rotated 180° about any axis.
