Description

2-Chloro-1-(4-nitrophenoxy)-4-trifluoromethylbenzene is a herbicide that inhibits the growth of plants by blocking the production of fatty acids. This drug is used to control weeds in wheat and soybean fields by inhibiting the growth of weed seeds, thereby reducing their reproduction and dispersal. 2-Chloro-1-(4-nitrophenoxy)-4-trifluoromethylbenzene has been shown to cause herbicide resistance in plants, which may be due to its ability to inhibit the expression of genes involved in lipid biosynthesis.
