Description

Ethyl ricinoleate is a fatty acid that can be found naturally in castor oil. It has a hydroxy group and a hydroxyl group, which are responsible for its kinetic data. The phase equilibrium of ethyl ricinoleate is laminated, meaning it is neither solid nor liquid at room temperature. It also has high viscosity and lubricity, making it an excellent choice for use as a lubricant or as biodiesel. Ethyl ricinoleate is also used in polyvinyl to reduce the viscosity and improve the adhesion of the polymer to plastics. It can also be used as monocarboxylic acid or polycarboxylic acid.
