Description :
2-Methyl-5-(methylamino)phenol is a coupler that is used in the production of textile dyes. It reacts with oxidizing agents to form peroxides, which are then reacted with diamines to produce alizarin or other dyes. 2-Methyl-5-(methylamino)phenol is also a developer for silver halide photography. The substance is water soluble and has a boiling point of 175 degrees Celsius.
