Description

N-Cyano-N-phenyl-p-toluenesulfonamide is a nucleophilic aromatic substitution reagent that can be used to cleave bonds of alkyl groups. It is used in organic synthesis and has been shown to react with copper oxide, forming a copper complex. It also reacts with functional groups such as carbonyl groups and β-amino acids. N-Cyano-N-phenyl-p-toluenesulfonamide can be used for the desulfonylation of thiols, chlorides, and halides.
