Description :Isamfazone is a long-acting pharmaceutical preparation that is used orally to treat circumferential burns. It is a hydrophobic and salicylic acid-based topical agent, which can be reconstituted with water or other diluents. Isamfazone has been shown to have therapeutic efficacy in the management of chronic wounds. This drug is a prodrug that undergoes systemic absorption and iontophoresis to reach its target cell.
