3',4'-Dihydroxyflavone is a flavonoid that exhibits anticancer activity. It inhibits the growth of primary brain tumors by inducing apoptosis in cells. 3',4'-Dihydroxyflavone also has radical scavenging activities and reduces nitrite levels, which may be due to its reaction with superoxide anion radicals. 3',4'-Dihydroxyflavone also has a protective effect on DNA, which may be due to its polymerase chain reaction inhibition properties.
