Description

(R)-2,5-Dihydro-3,6-diethoxy-2-isopropylpyrazine is a peptide that belongs to the class of dihydrochlorides. It can be obtained through the multistep synthesis of methyl chloroformate and hydrochloric acid. The compound has been found to be an effective inhibitor of α-amino acid decarboxylase, which is responsible for converting dihydrins into α-amino acids. (R)-2,5-Dihydro-3,6-diethoxy-2-isopropylpyrazine is also a nonproteinogenic amino acid that contains an ethyl ester group.
