Description :
2,4-Difluoroacetanilide is a metal-free reagent for the quantitative analysis of metals in solution. It is used in elemental analysis and spectroscopy. The technique of atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS) is based on the principle that an element absorbs light at specific wavelengths. When 2,4-Difluoroacetanilide is added to a solution containing an element, the light absorbed by the element will be changed due to 2,4-Difluoroacetanilide’s ability to absorb light at its characteristic wavelengths. This change in wavelength can be detected using a spectrophotometer or spectrometer.
