Description :
5,7-Difluoro-1H-indole is a metabolically stable, potent inhibitor of influenza A virus polymerase. It has been shown to be active in vivo against influenza A and B virus replication. The compound is undergoing clinical development for the treatment of influenza. 5,7-Difluoro-1H-indole inhibits the activity of the influenza virus polymerase by binding to the enzyme’s basic protein and blocking its active site. This prevents viral replication and can lead to therapeutic benefits in patients with influenza A or B infections.
