Dibutylcarbamic chloride is a control agent that is used in the treatment of cancer. It is also used to treat bone cancer and other types of cancers. Dibutylcarbamic chloride selectively inhibits the growth of tumor cells by blocking the enzyme that regulates their metabolism, which leads to cell death. Dibutylcarbamic chloride has been shown to be clinically relevant for the control of tumor growth rates, in particular for the treatment of prostate cancer and breast cancer. This drug also has an effect on plasma glucose levels and can cause congestive heart failure due to its effects on sodium channels in cardiomyocytes.
