Informations sur le produit
- 2-Naphthalenecarboxylic Acid, 1,3-Dihydroxy-, Ethyl Ester
- Ethyl 1,3-dihydroxy-2-naphthoate
1,3-Dihydroxy-naphthalene-2-carboxylic acid ethyl ester is a solvent that has been used in the production of dyes, pharmaceuticals, and resins. The red shift observed in its absorption spectrum is due to a hydrogen bonding interaction with naphthalene molecules. It can be used as a photophysical probe for proton transfer reactions. This compound has also been shown to have fluorescent properties as well as optical properties that are affected by the presence of amines.
