Description :5-(2,6-Dichlorophenyl)-2-((2,4-difluorophenyl)thio)-6H-pyrimido[1,6-B]pyridazine-6-one (NVP-BEZ235) is a molecule that inhibits the activity of the phosphoinositide 3 kinase (PI3K) pathway. This pathway regulates cell growth and survival by controlling cellular energy production and distribution. The PI3K pathway is active in a number of cancers, including colorectal cancer and acute myeloid leukemia. NVP-BEZ235 has been shown to be effective for treating bowel disease and inflammatory bowel disease in clinical trials. In addition, it is also an effective treatment for cancer with platinum based chemotherapy. The most common side effects are nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, anorexia, fatigue and headache.
