Description

14-Deoxyandrographolide is a diterpene that has been shown to have hepatoprotective activity. It is also an inhibitor of cyclase and has been shown to be cytotoxic in the range of 10-100 μM, with immunosuppressive effects. 14-Deoxyandrographolide is effective against bowel disease and cancer cell lines by inhibiting the production of tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and other inflammatory cytokines. 14-Deoxyandrographolide also inhibits the growth of T cells, which may contribute to its anti-inflammatory effects.
