Description

4,4-Diiodobiphenyl is a synthetic organic compound that is created by the iodination reaction of biphenyl. The sodium hydrogen reacts with copper oxide in the presence of hydrochloric acid to create 4,4-diiodobiphenyl. This product can be used as a precursor to metal carbonyls and is therefore important in the chemical industry. 4,4-Diiodobiphenyl can also be used to synthesize other organic compounds, including diphenyl ethers.
