3,6-Dichloro-4-methoxypyridazine is a nucleophilic chemical that reacts with amines to form 3,6-dichloro-4-amino pyridazines. The reaction proceeds through the simultaneous attack of the nucleophile on the electrophilic carbon atom and the concurrent displacement of chlorine by an amine. This reaction preferentially occurs at the less hindered amine group in 4-substituted pyridazines.
