• Description: 1,4-Dibromo-2-methoxybenzene is a nontraditional electrophile that reacts with nucleophiles to form products. It has been shown to react with butyllithium in an electronically controlled reaction. The reaction proceeds in a broad temperature range and is highly selective for electron-deficient olefins.
