• Description: 9,9-Dichlorofluorene is a bifluorenylidene that reacts with hydrochloric acid to form the trifluoroacetate anion. It is nucleophilic and can be used in organic synthesis to form carbon-fluorine bonds or chloroformates. 9,9-Dichlorofluorene also reacts with chloride ions to form the chloride anion.
