Description :
2,7-Dibromo-9-(1-octylnonyl)-9H-carbazole is a fluorescent dye that is soluble in organic solvents. It has an absorption spectrum that ranges from 350 to 500 nm, with a peak at 420 nm and emission at 590 nm. 2,7-Dibromo-9-(1-octylnonyl)-9H-carbazole can be used as a donor in copolymerization reactions and has been shown to have good thermal stability. This compound has also been used as an optical probe for the detection of phosphine gas.
