Description

2-(Decylthio)ethanamineHydrochloride is a multifunctional methylene compound that has benzyl chloride and ethanamine as its main components. It is soluble in water and has a pH of 9.5-10.5. This product has bactericidal properties and can be used to treat pneumoniae, as well as other bacterial infections. 2-(Decylthio)ethanamineHydrochloride is also an excellent corrosion inhibitor, with a corrosion index of 0.2-0.3. The bactericidal activity of this product is evaluated by the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC). MICs for some bacteria are: Staphylococcus aureus, 1-4 µg/mL; Streptococcus pyogenes, 4-8 µg/mL; and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, 2-4 µg/mL. 2-(Decylthio)ethanamineHydrochloride
