9,10-Dihydro-8H-benzo[def]chrysen-7-one is an aromatic hydrocarbon that has a significant impact on the environment. It has been shown to be genotoxic, causing cancer in humans, and is also carcinogenic for animals. 9,10-Dihydro-8H-benzo[def]chrysen-7-one can be found in some types of fuel and oil that have been exposed to air or sunlight.
