Description :
3,4-Diaminophenylboronic acid, pinacol ester is a chemical compound that can be used in processes that involve the formation of gold nanoparticles. It reacts with nitrite to form reactive groups on the surface of the nanoparticle. This reaction can be monitored using surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy, and the selectivity is improved by using pinacol esters. The linearity of this reaction has been shown to be excellent for detecting peroxynitrite and other similar molecules.
