Informations sur le produit
1,2-Dimyristoyl-sn-glycero-3-phospho-(1'-rac-glycerol) sodium salt (DMPG) is a lipid that has anticancer activity and can be used as an adjuvant therapy for breast cancer. DMPG is administered to mice with mammary tumors that are resistant to the chemotherapeutic drug doxorubicin. DMPG significantly reduces tumor metastases and tumor growth in vivo by inducing apoptosis via the death pathway. It also inhibits cell growth by binding to lipids on the surface of cancer cells, which prevents them from attaching to other cells or proteins. DMPG also has a particle size of less than 20 nm, which may allow it to cross the blood-brain barrier and enter the brain.
