Description

1,4-Dioxaspiro[4.5]decane-2-methanol is a hydrogenated solvent that is used for the preparation of chiral pharmaceuticals. It has shown to be supercritical in a range of solvents, including water and dichloromethane. This solvent has been found to be a good solvent for ionic liquids and can be used as an innovative solute in preparative chromatography.
