Description :
2,4-Dichloroanisole is a chemical that has an efficient method of extraction and a high yield. The optimum pH for 2,4-dichloroanisole is 4.5 to 5.5 and the concentration range of this compound is 0.01 to 1 mg/L. Geosmin is the most important degradation product of 2,4-dichloroanisole in water but it can also be degraded by triclosan and chlorine atoms. 2,4-Dichloroanisole can be activated by chemical ionization with trifluoroacetic acid and its formation rate is dependent on the concentration of 2,4-dichlorobenzoic acid in solution.
2,4-Dichloroanisole's uptake rate is expressed as a function of concentration and its formation rate does not depend on the pH value or temperature.
