Description :
7,8-Dimethoxy-3,4-dihydroisoquinoline is an imine with the chemical formula C14H12N2O. It is a synthetic molecule that belongs to the isoquinoline alkaloid family. 7,8-Dimethoxy-3,4-dihydroisoquinoline has been shown to have antimicrobial properties and sensitivity against strains of militaris, as well as other antibacterial compounds. This compound can be extracted from cactaceae and potassium permanganate. 7,8-Dimethoxy-3,4-dihydroisoquinoline is also used in the synthesis of other molecules that are not phenolic such as acetophenone and methylene blue.
