Description :
Diisoamylamine is a hydrocarbon solvent that inhibits the oxidation of aromatic hydrocarbons. It was found to have an inhibitory effect on the activation of isovaleric acid, hydroxyl group and halides. Diisoamylamine has also been shown to inhibit melanocortin activity in vitro and in vivo. This compound is used as a reagent for the synthesis of organic acids, such as oxalic acid and succinic acid, which are used in the production of dyes, perfumes, plastics and pharmaceuticals. Diisoamylamine can be used as a reagent in organic synthesis because it is not toxic or flammable. It can also be used as an inhibitor for oxidizing agents because it reacts with them to form a stable product that does not react further with other substrates.
