Description :
N,N-Dimethyl-m-anisidine is a chemical compound that is used in the synthesis of vinblastine and other drugs. It can be used as an acceptor molecule to form hydrogen bonds with trifluoroacetic acid. N,N-Dimethyl-m-anisidine can also be synthesized from nitrobenzene and hydroxylamine. The compound has two chiral centers, which leads to the formation of diastereomers. These compounds are often protonated at the hydroxy group or nitro group, which in turn leads to different reactions with amines.
