(R)-(+)-N,N-Dimethyl-1-phenylethylamine is an aldehyde with the molecular formula C9H14O. It is a chiral molecule that can exist in two different forms. (R)-(+)-N,N-Dimethyl-1-phenylethylamine has been used as a reagent to generate hydrogen peroxide and chlorine gas. This compound also has the ability to form isomeric peroxides of amines, which are oxidants that can be used in reactions with hydrogen peroxide to produce nitrous acid. The crystallographic structure of (R)-(+)-N,N-Dimethyl-1-phenylethylamine was determined by XRD analysis and its nmr spectra were recorded at room temperature.
