Description

6-Desacetylnimbin is an anthelmintic drug that has been shown to be effective against nematodes in tissue culture. The chemical ionization mass spectroscopic data for 6-desacetylnimbin was obtained from a model system, which consists of the fruit extract of a tree. This chemical was found to have good absorption and emission properties, with a high quantum yield and low fluorescence quenching. The fruit extract can be used as a solvent for the preparation of pharmaceutical preparations. 6-Desacetylnimbin could be applied as a potential remedy for metabolic disorders such as diabetes mellitus, due to its ability to inhibit hexane production in liver cells.
