Description :
2,3-Dehydro ofloxacin is a quinolone antibiotic that inhibits bacterial growth by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins. This drug has an intramolecular structure and is extracted from the plant Fritillaria camschatcensis. It can be used to treat bacterial infections such as urinary tract infections. 2,3-Dehydro ofloxacin is a trackable molecule and can be detected using ozonolysis. This drug also has antibacterial activity against Gram-positive bacteria, including methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus. 2,3-Dehydro ofloxacin is an analog of oxazolidinone antibiotics and has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties due to its ability to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis.
