• Description: 6,7-Dimethoxyquinazoline-2,4-dione is a chemical compound that can be synthesized by reacting amide and formaldehyde. It has been investigated as an efficient method for the synthesis of amides. 6,7-Dimethoxyquinazoline-2,4-dione is also a potential antibacterial agent which may prevent bacterial growth by inhibiting choline uptake or by binding to ribosomes and blocking protein synthesis.
