Description

Diphenyl[4-(4-fluorophenyl)-6-isopropyl-2-(N-methylmethylsulfonyl)amino-pyrimidin-5-yl-methyl]phosphine oxide is an inhibitor of the reductase enzyme, which is involved in the synthesis of fatty acids. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of bacteria that are resistant to other antibiotics. The active form is a phosphine oxide and it has been shown to be an inhibitor of bacterial reductases.
