Description :3,3'-Dithiodipropionic acid (DTP) is a reactive sulfur-containing compound that forms in the human body from 3-mercaptopropionic acid. DTP has been shown to inhibit tumor xenografts in rats and mice and to reduce the incidence of colorectal adenocarcinoma in rats. This compound has also been found to be cytotoxic against cervical cancer cells. The type strain of DTP is ATCC 9506.
