Description

2,6-Dimethyl-2,4,6-octatriene is an analytical method that is used to measure the cytotoxic potency of a terpene sample. The method uses a UV absorption technique and titration calorimetry. It is also used to measure enzyme activities such as odorant binding and light emission. 2,6-Dimethyl-2,4,6-octatriene has been shown to have antimicrobial properties against Gram positive bacteria like Staphylococcus aureus.
