• Description: 1-Decyne is a simple molecule that is used in the synthesis of polymers. The reaction mechanism of this chemical is not well understood, but it is believed that it proceeds by way of a ring-opening metathesis reaction. The nmr spectra of 1-decyne show that it contains nitrogen atoms at positions 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 on the molecule.
