The diazonium salt reacts with organic solvent and hydrogen gas to form the reaction products. In the presence of carbon dioxide and hydrogen chloride, 2,6-dichloro-4-(trifluoromethyl)aniline undergoes chlorinating reactions to produce hydrogen chloride gas and the chlorinated product.
