Description :
3,5-Difluoropyridine is a heterocyclic organic compound that has a pyridine ring with two fluorine atoms. It can be used for the synthesis of boronic esters and metal hydrides, as well as for other reactions such as quaternization. 3,5-Difluoropyridine reacts with iodomethane to form a benzofuran derivative. This reaction has been shown to produce high yields of products with little interaction between reactants. 3,5-Difluoropyridine is also magnetic and can be used in biosensors.
