Description :3,4-DinitrocHlorobenzene is a chemical that has been shown to immobilize glutamate pyruvate transaminase and phosphatase enzymes in mammalian cells. It also inhibits the activity of these enzymes in tissue extracts and whole animals. 3,4-DinitrocHlorobenzene is a low energy nucleophile which binds to the enzyme active site by way of an electrophilic mechanism. 3,4-DinitrocHlorobenzene can be used to inhibit enzyme activities in tissue cultures or animal experiments. This chemical can be used as a phosphate analog inhibitor for glutamate pyruvate transaminase and phosphatase enzymes.
