Description :
2,4-Difluorobenzyl alcohol is a molecule that has been studied in vivo. It is an analog of 4-bromobenzyl alcohol, which is the substrate for dehydrogenase. 2,4-difluorobenzyl alcohol is reactive because it contains a hydroxyl group and can react with acetaldehyde to form acetic acid or with hydrogen peroxide to form 2,4-dihydroxybenzaldehyde.
