Description :O-Dianisidine is a chromogenic substrate that reacts with the amino acid tryptophan to form an intensely colored product. O-Dianisidine can be used in the preparation of probiotic bacteria and for the detection of genotoxic activity. The reaction mechanism is similar to that of 3,3',5,5'-tetramethylbenzidine. O-Dianisidine has been used as an analytical method for measuring enzyme activities in experimental models, such as 3T3-L1 preadipocytes and bowel disease. Kinetic analysis of o-dianisidine can show nitrogen atoms and chronic oral toxicity.
